An international scientific-practical conference on “Transparency and Audit: Challenges, Problems, Tasks of the New Era” co-organized by the Chamber of Auditors and the Union of Economists of Azerbaijan was held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan on September 16, 2021.

The event was attended by about 60 representatives from more than 30 organizations of 12 countries representing relevant audit and accounting institutions, international professional organizations, governmental and non-governmental organizations, the private sector, the media, universities and research institutes.

The conference discussed the importance of the recent economic reforms undertaken in our country, reconstruction, as well as the work carried out in the field of audit and transparency.

Mr. Fuad Aliyev, a representative of the Financial Monitoring Service, made a speech on “The role of persons providing accounting and audit services in anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing” and answered the questions of the participants.
