The 9th session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption started on December 13, 2021 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. On December 14, 2021, Mr. Fuad Aliyev, director of Cooperation Department of FMS, made a presentation at the side event on "Misuse of Fundraising for Corruption and Related Criminal Purposes" organized by the Azerbaijani delegation as a part of the 5-day session.

The main purpose of the presentation was drawing the attention of the world community to the misuse of donations collected by Armenian diaspora organizations and charitable foundations operating abroad for financing of armed separatism, extremism and terrorism, corruption, especially during the Patriotic War.

Note that UN member states are reviewing the implementation of the provisions of the Convention and are considering opportunities for international cooperation in this area, as well as technical support during the Conference which is the most prestigious global event in the fight against corruption held every two years.
