BAKU, Azerbaijan – March 29, 2024 – The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has announced Decision No. 182, amending certain provisions concerning the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Payment Services and Payment Systems". This decision includes amendments to the "List of Applicable Restrictions and Special Requirements in Relation to High-Risk Zones", originally approved by Decision No. 64 on February 20, 2023.

According to the amended provisions, the decision imposes restrictions on obliged entities engaging with high-risk zones, their citizens, or individuals whose registration, residence, or primary business location is within those zones. Additionally, interactions with persons holding accounts in banks and other payment service providers registered in high-risk zones may also face restrictions.
