The Financial Monitoring Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized an online training session for representatives of relevant state authorities operating in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in the field of anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT).

During the training, Ms. Arzu Khalilova, representative of the Financial Monitoring Service, delivered a presentation outlining the key components of Azerbaijan’s AML/CFT framework. Ms. Khalilova also provided a detailed overview of the outcomes of the country's 5th Round Mutual Evaluation conducted under the Council of Europe's MONEYVAL Committee.

Ms. Khalilova further elaborated on the importance of the beneficial ownership regime, its application in international practice, and the standards set by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) in this area.

The training was attended by 25 representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the State Tax Service, and the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations.
