Face-to-face meetings between Azerbaijani authorities and the MONEYVAL evaluators were organized as a next stage of the 5th round mutual evaluation by the MONEYVAL Committee of the Council of Europe of the Republic of Azerbaijan on September 12-14 of the current year in Strasbourg, France.
The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Mr. Zaur Fatizada, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Financial Monitoring Service. During the visit, the draft of the evaluation report, as well as elimination of technical inconsistencies were discussed.
The delegation consisted of representatives of the Central Bank, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Justice, the State Tax Service, and the State Security Service specialized in the field of legalization of criminally obtained property and financing of terrorism.
Note that as a result of the assessment, the final report will be presented at the Plenary meeting to be held in December.
