On February 23, 2022, the Director of the Legal Department of the Financial Monitoring Service Mr. Azer Abbasov delivered a lecture on "Criminal and legal characteristics of money laundering" as part of the initial long-term training course for candidate judges.

47 candidate judges took part in the online training organized by the Academy of Justice of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The training analyzed Article 193-1 of the Criminal Code, touched upon the characteristics of the main elements of the act of legalization of money or other property, the differences between legalization and realization, and the conduction of financial investigations in the prosecution of this crime.
