A special session aimed at strengthening knowledge on the fight against money laundering and counter terrorist financing (AML/CFT) was organized for the students of Baku State University on March 3. The main goal of the event was to inform students about international standards in the AML/CFT field, national legislation, and the activities of the Financial Monitoring Service.

In his opening speech, AML/CFT expert Fuad Aliyev greeted the participants and emphasized the purpose and importance of the awareness session. 

Students majoring in "Law," "International Relations and Economics," "Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics," and "Mechanics and Mathematics" received detailed information about the concept of AML/CFT, international standards and national legislation, the activities of the Financial Monitoring Service, and international cooperation. During the session, a special video presentation on the global AML/CFT system was shown, which allowed participants to better familiarize themselves with the topic.

Later, during the presentation of the FMS' Electronic Learning Platform, students were introduced to the platform’s modules and the educational resources provided.

At the conclusion of the event, the importance of actively using the awareness resources and engaging in continuous learning was emphasized.
