Cabinet of Ministers makes key decision

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has taken a significant step towards enhancing its commitment to combatting the legalization of criminally obtained  property, the financing of terrorism, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. In a decisive move, the Cabinet of Ministers has established the Coordinating Council dedicated to addressing these critical issues.

This proactive initiative includes the approval of the Coordinating Council's Rules of Procedure and the rescinding of the decision dated October 21, 2020, which pertained to specific measures for periodic risk assessment within the system combating financing. The decision also outlined arrangements for the preparation and execution of assessments in the relevant field, alongside the creation of a coordination mechanism to align with these objectives.

Prime Minister Ali Asadov, underscoring the government's commitment to these crucial matters, personally signed the pivotal decision.
