On August 29, 2025, the Financial Monitoring Service held an online training for representatives of supervisory authorities, delivered by the Service’s staff members Azer Hasanli, Nilufar Abdullayeva, and Subhan Garayev. The training was dedicated to the topic “Sectoral Risk Assessment and Supervisory Measures in Combating Money Laundering.”
During the session, participants were provided with a comprehensive overview of sectoral risk assessment for non-profit organizations, the stages of the assessment process, as well as the statutory obligations of supervisory authorities and other key issues.
The training also covered risk-based supervision of non-profit organizations, procedures for regulating supervisory measures, and relevant international approaches in this area.
The event concluded with an interactive session that fostered open exchange of views and provided answers to participants’ questions.
