On September 11–12, 2025, the Financial Monitoring Service (hereinafter – the Service) organized a training for representatives of the banking sector operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan and “Azerpost” LLC on the new module “Authorized Signatories and Beneficial Owners” within the “SHAMS” software.

The primary objective of the training was to address existing challenges faced by financial institutions in submitting information to the Service, provide clarifications to their inquiries, and ensure awareness of recent legislative changes.

Trainers Tahmina Abdinbeyova and Ayaz Shahbazi delivered detailed presentations on the submission of information regarding authorized signatories of legal entities holding accounts with financial institutions, as well as on the identification of beneficial owners with whom business relationships are maintained. The session also covered practical issues related to the submission of information to the Service through the “SHAMS” platform.

The training, attended by 55 participants, concluded with an interactive exchange of views.
