On February 9, 2026, the next meeting of the Board of the Financial Monitoring Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held.
In line with the agenda, the meeting first reviewed reports submitted by the Service’s structural units on activities carried out throughout 2025. The reports reflected the work undertaken and results achieved in the field of combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism. Following the discussions, relevant recommendations were provided.
During the second part of the meeting, participants discussed the draft Work Plan of the Service for 2026. The plan outlines a range of measures aimed at strengthening institutional capacity, expanding the implementation of a risk-based approach, enhancing international cooperation, and improving analytical capabilities. Views were exchanged on the proposed initiatives and appropriate decisions were adopted regarding the document.
At the conclusion of the meeting, specific tasks were assigned on the issues discussed and priority areas for the upcoming period were identified.
