On 23–27 February 2026, an on-site preparatory visit to Baku was conducted by a representative of the Egmont Group Secretariat within the framework of coordination for the upcoming Egmont Group Plenary Meeting. The visit focused on reviewing logistical arrangements and designated venues related to the organization of the Plenary.

During the visit, a review of the organizational and technical capacities was carried out at the meeting venue and working meetings were held with relevant stakeholders to discuss key aspects of the coordination.

In addition, accommodation arrangements for delegations and the capacity to host parallel events were reviewed in coordination with the respective entities. At the conclusion of the visit, key findings were consolidated and principal action points for the next phase of planning were identified.

The representative of the Egmont Group Secretariat acknowledged the efforts undertaken by the host authorities in support of the preparatory process.

The on-site visit provided an important foundation for advancing to the next stage of planning for the 2026 Egmont Group Plenary Meeting.
