On December 23, a seminar addressing "Actual practical issues of notary activity" was conducted, bringing together notaries from across the country. The event, organized jointly by the Azerbaijan Notary Chamber and the Ministry of Justice's Department of Justice Services, aimed to delve into critical aspects of notary practice for the continuous improvement of legal services provided to citizens.

The seminar featured a keynote address by Huseyn Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan Chamber of Notaries, who spoke on activity of the National leader Heydar Aliyev and the fundamental aspects of strengthening sovereignty. Mammadov underscored the significance of such gatherings in enhancing the quality of legal services offered by notaries to the citizens.

Attended by over 30 notaries from Baku city and various regions, the seminar included presentations by prominent officials, namely Leyla Barkhudarzadeh, Mushfiq Jafarov, and Zaur Hasanov from the main department of services in the field of justice. Ayten Mirzazadeh, the head of the department of work with law enforcement agencies at the Financial Monitoring Service, and senior specialist Kifayat Nasirli also contributed by addressing the application of legislation in the field of combating the legalization of acquired property and the financing of terrorism in notary practice.

Key topics discussed during the seminar included "Mechanisms of applying the fight against the legalization of property obtained through crime and the financing of terrorism in notarial practice," "Acquiring money or other property through criminal means and the criteria for detecting suspicious cases related to the financing of terrorism," and insights into the "Electronic Notary Information System." The presentations provided valuable perspectives on the challenges and innovations within the notary profession.

The interactive session concluded with extensive discussions and the acknowledgment of valuable suggestions put forth by the participants.
