On September 6, 2024, a delegation from the Financial Monitoring Service (FMS) of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with Mr. Kris Meskens, Head of the Belgian Financial Intelligence Processing Unit, and other officials from the unit.

The meeting focused on discussing bilateral relations and exchanging expertise between the two parties.

A key topic of the discussion was the establishment of a beneficial ownership system in the AML/CFT field and the role of Financial Monitoring Organizations (FMOs) in ensuring its effective operation.
