Empowering Students with AML/CTF Knowledge: Special Session at Baku State University

On March 3, a special session was organized for the students of Baku State University to enhance public awareness in the field of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF). The primary objective of the event was to inform students about international AML/CTF standards, national legislation, and the activities of the Financial Monitoring Service.

In his opening speech, AML/CTF expert Fuad Aliyev welcomed the participants and emphasized the purpose and significance of the awareness session.

Students specializing in "Law," "International Relations and Economics," "Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics," and "Mechanics and Mathematics" were provided with comprehensive information about the AML/CTF concept, international standards, national legislation, as well as the operations and international cooperation of the Financial Monitoring Service. During the training, a special video on the global AML/CTF system was presented, allowing participants to gain deeper insights into the topic.

Furthermore, during the presentation of the Service’s Electronic Learning Platform, students were introduced to the platform’s modules and the educational resources available.

At the conclusion of the event, the importance of actively utilizing educational resources and continuous learning was emphasized.
