The Financial Monitoring Service (FMS) of the Republic of Azerbaijan is advancing its cooperation with the Certification Programme implemented by the Egmont Centre of FIU Excellence and Leadership (ECOFEL), marking a new phase in institutional collaboration.
The ECP is an internationally recognized online training and certification initiative designed for personnel of financial intelligence units (FIUs). It offers participants access to interactive modules, real case-based assessments, and training aligned with global AML/CFT standards, delivering both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Under a Letter of Agreement signed between FMS and ECOFEL, the FMS has been granted non-commercial access to the core training materials of the Programme. The agreement was confirmed during a meeting attended by Mr. Zaur Fatizada, Chairman of the FMS, Ms. Elzbieta Frankow-Jaskiewicz, Chair of the Egmont Group, Mr. Jérôme Beaumont, Executive Secretary of the Egmont Group, and Mr. Michael Bull, ECP Project Manager.
By supporting ECOFEL’s global initiatives to strengthen FIU capacity and broaden training opportunities, the FMS contributes to the advancement of international cooperation in the financial intelligence domain. This support also plays a key role in enhancing the sustainability of ECOFEL's activities and extending the reach of its training programmes.
This partnership reflects Azerbaijan’s continued commitment to international collaboration and knowledge sharing in the field of financial intelligence.
