Financial Monitoring Service Holds Event Dedicated to Victory Day

On November 7, 2025, the Financial Monitoring Service organized an event dedicated to November 8 – Victory Day.

The event was opened with remarks by the Chairman of the Board, Zaur Fatizada, who emphasized the historical significance of the magnificent victory achieved in the Patriotic War, a heroic chapter in the history of the Azerbaijani people. He noted that, thanks to the farsighted and well-planned policies of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, as well as the bravery and dedication of the servicemen and officers of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, our territories were liberated from occupation, and the territorial integrity of the country was restored.

Zaur Fatizada highlighted that the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of our lands is eternally honored, and Victory Day stands as a celebration of national unity and the strength of our state.

The memory of the heroes who fell in the line of duty for the homeland was observed with a one-minute silence, followed by the screening of a video dedicated to Victory Day.

Subsequently, the Deputy Chairman of the Board, Azar Abbasov, delivered a speech on “The Historical Significance of Victory Day and the Outcomes of the Patriotic War”, discussing the new realities created in the region as a result of Azerbaijan’s military, political, and moral triumphs.

Following this, Board Advisor Kamala Aliyeva highlighted the solidarity of the Azerbaijani people during the 44-day Patriotic War and recalled that the speeches delivered by the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, during the war were eagerly awaited by the nation with pride and anticipation.

The event concluded with remarks from Fakhri Aghayev, FMS representative and a veteran of the Patriotic War, who shared his personal experiences from the battlefield, recounting his impressions and the heroism of his fellow soldiers during the conflict.
